I really don't like to cook (and my husband does, so I let him!), but around the holidays there are always parties we need to bring food to. One of the wives in the squadron hosted a Cookie Exchange a few weeks ago; everyone brought a different kind of cookie, and we got to take home a few of each kind. I had never made a cookie from scratch before, and I really didn't want to get a store-bought kind. But I stumbled across this terrific recipe which I am calling EASIEST COOKIES EVER:
1 box cake mix (any kind)
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
chocolate chips
That's it! Four ingredients! All you need to do is mix them together and bake until golden brown at 350 degrees F. The best part about this recipe is that you can vary the cookies by changing the cake mix flavor and chocolate chip flavor. You could use Red Velvet cake mix, for example, and white chocolate chips. Or you could use chocolate cake mix and peanut butter chips--there are so many combinations! You can also make them as large or small as you like, and they turn out looking like perfectly homemade cookies!
I hope this easy recipe brings a little joy and a lot less stress to your holiday season!
