A few weeks ago we ventured out to Clemyjontri Park in Fairfax County, Virginia. It was a short drive from our apartment in Silver Spring, MD. We enjoyed an amazing day of fun at this park that is accessible for kids of all ages. Here's an aerial view of the layout of fun that was to be had.

The amazing Yellow Ribbon Fund put together another excellent wounded warrior family adventure. This time they partnered with Capital One and the Friends of Clemjontri and tripled the fun. Lunch was provided and our family favorite was the sno-cone bus. They had a bus where the man gave you a sno-cone and you went to the side and created your own flavor. It was just the coolest thing to add to a day at the park.

This park has plenty of parking and has an extra lot if you need it. This playground is huge and amazing. There are no limits at this playground. It is fully handicap accessible and children of all ages can access all of the features with no difficulty. As you can see from the aerial shot there is plenty of room to run. And that attraction in the middle is a classic carousel that provides lots of smiles.

If you are looking for a great day out, venture out to Clemyjontri. I promise it is worth the drive. Here's their link so you can learn more. http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/clemyjontri/
