In honor of National Park Week and Earth Day, Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial invites you and your family to help care for and celebrate our parks on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., for a day of service in the flower and vegetable gardens. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and “explore, learn and protect”.


Volunteers will assist with planting, spreading mulch, removing invasive weeds, trimming, measuring rows, and labeling plants. This is a wonderful opportunity for the entire family. All ages are welcome to help maintain the health and beauty of the gardens.


Please bring a water bottle, wear light-weight, loose fitting clothing and comfortable closed toe shoes. To sign-up, please contact Park Ranger and Volunteer Coordinator Franice Sewell at Franice_Sewell@nps.gov or call (703) 235-1530. Access and parking inside Arlington Cemetery will be provided.
